We had great news from "M" the Sales Manager at Urban Pacific - lots are now curbed and guttered and services have been installed! The information centre is set to open in October and there will be site visits for those that have deposits on land in Spring.
This is very exciting and things are slowly moving forward. Apparently title registration is expected for September. This is important as once titles are registered - we should be able to submit our Development Application to Urban Pacific for approval and then to Blacktown Council. We are still waiting for the final Design Guidelines from UP - but we've complied with everything in the draft Guidelines and Council Development Control Plan.
Before titles can be registered my understanding is that Sydney Water must certify the sewer system for this stage of the estate. According to the very patient construction manager at JK Williams this is currently in progress.
I don't entirely understand the certification and title registration process - I think I'll get in contact with some contacts in the field to get a better understanding. We've discovered that knowing & understanding the processes reduces a lot of the bulls**t that construction workers and builders try and pull on the unsuspecting average person!
