Electricals, sandstone and inspections

Last week our electrical rough in was completed - though we found a few things missing that need to be included - lights over the breakfast bar, under cupboard lighting in the kitchen. There's also a gas point for our laundry that needs to be moved across a little (it's for a gas dryer - rather than an electric one)

The Unreal Stone people have also been out busy putting up the sandstone cladding. The first pic is our front entrance. The one below is the golf course side (the room is the home theatre)

The painters have also done some of the feature colour (Dulux Capsicum Red) while the scaffolding is up. Apparently they do the rest right at the end.

The roof has also gone on for the ground floor sections (the rear room and the garage)

Even though it was 39C on site today - inside the house was relatively cool - I was completely surprised and I'm sure we'll be able to cool the whole house efficiently once the insulation is in.
We also had Howard Ryan from H&K Ryan out today to do the frame inspection. That went smoothly and we'll forward his report on to our Site Supervisor to ensure things are rectified before the walls go up.
Our next step is to review our kitchen, bathroom and laundry cupboard plans; sign them off and return to Wisdom Homes - then they can start with the gyprocking.
Wisdom Homes are also going to check up on our tiles - neighbours have experienced some delays when DiLorenzo didn't put aside their tiles and now their site is at a stand still. Bugger!
