Lighting update

A few weekends ago we headed out to the grand opening of the new Anaconda store at Penrith - it's a huge camping & outdoors megastore. While there we noticed a Beacon Lighting store and decided to have a quick look at lights again - a week prior the Wisdom Homes electrician gave us a call and told us that he sources all the lights from Beacon so we could basically choose any item from their range - but he wasn't sure on the prices.

We selected light fittings for the ceiling mounted lights (oysters), pendants for over the kitchen bench and also fans for the living areas and bedrooms. Kim was very helpful and gave us a quote with the current sale stocktake prices.

"D" at Wisdom Homes has been very obliging and provided us with prices on getting their electrician to install these fittings, or do supply & installation. "D" informed us that the electrician couldn't get the fittings for any cheaper than the current sale prices and said that we'd save some money by purchasing the fittings ourselves.

It was very refreshing to have our builder tell us a way that we could SAVE money - the stories I hear are all about how builders will try and price gouge you on everything. We have a very reasonable price to install light fittings and fans - very happy!
