Happy Holidays!

We haven't met our goal of moved in by Xmas 2009 - (I think that was wishful thinking on our construction manager's part) - but we should be in for Xmas 2010.

Congrats to Nav & cielly - our neighbours down the road who have just moved in for the festive sesason.
As usual - the holiday season in our household kicks off with gingerbread. This year the event grew to 7 houses built in a single day! Some friends and family came around to eat plenty of lollies and build/decorate gingerbread houses.

Here are some of the pics:

A basic house starts out like this (glued together with royal icing - Bakery Sugar Craft in Arndell Park has it in bags - just add water - no need to get egg whites!)

And then many lollies later turns out like this! (front)

(back)

Other ones made on the day:
My parents (back)

Willoe

Mum (again - front)

Debbie and Mikayla (back)

Debbie & Mikayla (front)

Some of them wrapped and ready to take home (L to R - Willoe, Fiona, Debbie & Mikayla, Fiona no. 2)

To give you an idea of size - the each roof roof is about A5 size (half a sheet of A4 paper) - so they were pretty big!
Happy holidays to all our followers and we look forward to posting more exciting news about our build in the new year!
