Staircase will be fixed!

I mentioned earlier that the wrong staircase had been installed.

According to our plans the staircase should be like this:



Instead - they've installed one that is like the following design (except mirror image)

But it should look like this (except the bottom 3 treads as Tassie Oak - not carpet)

After some to-ing and fro-ing by me - the Construction Manager at Wisdom has agreed to install the staircase that is in the plan.

I thought it was strange that they didn't want to give us the contracted/drawn stair case - the one they accidentally installed is twice as expensive! It would have been a loss of a few thousand dollars. (Perhaps that's just the accountant in me)
