First official site visit!

After more than 2.5 years of waiting - we had our first official site visit to the estate today! We were very impressed - more so than any estate we've visited so far. It started with the grand entry statements of stone:

The very nice security guard had our names on an entry list - we drove up to the new Sales and Information Centre. This is the view from the car park - very inviting!
And this is the view from the front
We had a great meeting with M, also got to meet the Project Director and NSW head of Urban Pacific.
There are 3 main classifications of land sites:
  • Neighbourhood homes - about 600-700sqm priced at $330-360,000 in areas surrounded by other houses
  • Vista homes - slightly larger in size at priced a little more - I think they are called "vista" because you'll get views of parks or distant views of the golf course
  • Gallery homes - lots with close views of the golf course - either backing or fronting onto the course. These lots come at a premium starting in the high $500s to low $600s - they'll have fantastic views forever (and you'll never have to worry about keeping it looking nice because the golf club will take care of it!)
Here is a pic of some of the neighbourhood blocks:
There seems to be lots of enquires - "M" is booked out for the next 2 weekends with appointments with our prospective neighbours. It looks like great blocks will go fast - so people need to get in early!
We got to go for a walk up to our block. The roundabout leading up the main road towards our block:
Here is our block - 880sqm that will be our paradise!
And we have a beautiful jacaranda on our nature strip - in fine Homeone forum tradition, we've given our tree a name - "Franc" (short for Francesca).

And strangely enough - there was a bowling ball on our lot! My lovely husband (being a teenage bowling champ) had a go:

And here are the display homes still under construction - I think there will be an official launch some time next year.

And here's some of the work going on to build the golf course - the 7th fairway is already looking great! (For those golf fanatics - the fairways are Santa Ana Couch - not kikiyu as is common in many Sydney courses)

And some bunkers around the 7th green - they are super deep!

We had a chat with the guy building the golf course - he explained the bunker design and talked about the schedule of works. Things seem to be moving along quite quickly.
